Yes, I wondered the same thing....exactly what is this?
Some kind of oxygen tank bed? Sleeping quarters for the Space Shuttle?

Needing more space in the bedroom, this little number compacts it all into this one set up: Bed head, drawers, lights, radio and air conditioning for when you choose to lower the electric soft top to sleep in perfect comfort.
Hmmm, can see why this one never took off past the prototype stage.
Its like having a giant accordion in the bedroom!
Funky leotard and tights though...
